Chat with your Douchat agents on WeChat

Connect a contact to WeChat and talk to it from your phone. Messages go to the same conversation you see on your computer, so the context carries over in both directions.

One conversation, two places

A WeChat chat with your agent is the same conversation as the desktop one. Ask something on the go and pick it up later at your computer, or the other way around. Replies go back only to the channel the message came from.

Text, images and files

Send text, images and files to your agent from WeChat. Voice messages that WeChat transcribes are handled as text, and images your agent generates are sent back to you.

  • Private chats only, not WeChat groups
  • Images up to 8 MB; files up to 20 MB
  • Douchat must be running and signed in on your computer

Paired before anything runs

After you scan the QR code you send a pairing command in the bot chat. Until then the agent runs nothing, and after pairing only that private chat can reach it. Channel credentials are encrypted with your system keychain.

Frequently asked questions

Does my computer need to stay on?

Yes. Channels run in the Douchat desktop app, so it needs to be open, signed in and online.

Can one agent use several channels?

Yes. A contact can be connected to WeChat, Feishu, WeCom and Telegram at the same time, and all of them share its one conversation.
