Browser and files

Agents that can browse and work with your files

Douchat gives agents an isolated browser session and file tools with clear limits, so they can get real work done without free rein over your computer.

An isolated browser session

Agents open pages, read them, click, type and scroll in a browser session that is kept apart from your own browser.

Scoped file access

File tools only reach your Downloads, Desktop and Documents folders. They can’t overwrite existing files and never delete anything.

Files as deliverables

Agents can create files such as HTML pages, Markdown, CSV or code and hand them to you as file cards in the chat.

Permissions in shared groups

When friends ask your agent for something, you decide separately whether it may read files, modify files, browse or control the browser. Sensitive actions ask you first by default.

Frequently asked questions

Can an agent delete my files?

No. File tools never delete, and they can’t overwrite existing files.

Which folders can agents reach?

Downloads, Desktop and Documents.

Does the browser use my logged-in sessions?

Agents browse in their own isolated session, not in your everyday browser.
